this is a page title Main Duties of the Finance Manager Provide assistance to the Group Finance Officer in all aspects relevant in a finance department Take responsibility for financial reporting and analysis Management of finance team Key Responsibilities Full oversight and management over the finance department Monthly review of general ledger and reconciliation of various ledger accounts Journal processing at month end and ad hoc journals as necessary Preparation of monthly management reports for the divisions as well as the company, performing variance analysis and providing commentary in a timely and accurate manner Accountability for allocated costs to correct divisions and cost centres, reporting on variances Month end consolidation of subsidiary companies into group report Monthly VAT reconciliations and SARS e-filing submissions Assisting with the preparation of budget templates for the business, co-ordination and collation of all budget information across the various divisions and departments Assisting with annual audit preparation and execution Maintaining control over the Fixed Asset Register Operational involvement with the business in identifying areas that the finance department can add value Continuously look to improve and enhance financial and relevant business processes for optimal efficiency & productivity Various other responsibilities incumbent on this role Qualifications BComm / CIMA Experience A minimum of 5 years Financial Management / Management Accountant experience  Skills & Attributes Meticulous with regards to attention to detail in both processing and reporting  Analytically orientated Proactive and self-motivated,  ability to work autonomously Advanced excel skills – this is not negotiable Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines Good leadership and people management skills Building strong working relationships within the Finance team and with other divisions Vision orientated and purposeful individual People orientated, team player Fair but firm Articulate and great communication skills Respectful of the importance of excellent client relations Service delivery orientated Takes pride in his / her output
