Ensure drafting and implementation of appropriate interventions. Ensure compliance with audit requirements Assess, identify and mitigate potential risks within the IT system engineering environment and comply with governance in terms of legislative, audit and business policy requirements by drafting policies and procedures for the System Engineering Environment Manage systems by setting threshold measurements for capacity and infrastructure upgrades and suggest changes Manage the System Efficiencies by suggesting and implementing efficient system changes based on research of new and existing technology to align with business needs Set timeline and methodology for system, release upgrades and build test packs for regression testing. Access and implement patches and Fixes in test environment and migrate to live Manage own development to increase own competencies Obtain and sustain In-depth system / application knowledge to maximise contribution to the role Main Responsibilities: Set up and support of Microsoft services focusing on Exchange and Lync Maintain and configure back office environment Ensure IT policies are met with regards to data security Ensure IT policies are met with regards to network security Troubleshoot server and network problems Support Exchange 2010 and 2013 and Active Directory Infrastructure Support Lync / Skype For Business infrastructure with enterprise voice experience Support DRP site (Keep up to date with current environment) SQL Database Management Skills Perform back-ups and restores (Microsoft SCCM DPM) Manage Back Office assets Daily Administration of Exchange and AD environment Job entails standby / after hour work Microsoft Operations Manager experience (SCOM) PKI Experience advantageous TMG Experience advantageous Mail marshal experience Advance Powershell Scripting Experience required Office 365 Hybrid Experience advantageous Qualifications and experience: Candidates must preferably have an applicable Microsoft Certification 7 Years AD / Exchange / Back Office support experience Sound knowledge of Preventative / Pro active maintenance and monitoring systems Relevant back office document management including drafting of business proposals A sound knowledge of the Microsoft Server family A sound knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 Active Directory Degree or Diploma and the required Certification, MCSE, RHCE or RHCA 5 to 8 Years service industry management experience 3 of which should have been at management level
