About the Role

Duration: 12 month contract Benefits: Notebook allowance (own laptop is essential), travel allowance (if applicable), communications allowance (for 3G & cell phone), Standby allowance + Standby pay for calls attended after-hours Requirements: Experience with a Sophos UTM Firewall/Proxy would be an advantage Reliability is very crucial Current Microsoft certification would be an advantage Own car is essential Strong verbal and written communication skills Someone looking to grow into a senior technical role would be ideally suited. Availability-Immediate if possible Responsibilities: Log calls, follow up on assigned calls, and perform quality assurance checks Provide telephonic and remote user support (to local users and branch users) for the following: Network issues Internet access issues VPN related issues Printer issues Active directly profile related issues Microsoft Exchange / Outlook related issues Laptop, Desktop, thin client hardware related issues Application related issues including Autocad etc. Perform network troubleshooting (branches included) as required Provide server support on the following technologies: Windows Hardware Support e.g. BIOS upgrades, RAID configurations, faulty hardware etc. Windows server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2 (primarily including DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Active Directory, File Services, Print Services) Exchange 2010/2013
